Getting Got w/ Nick Emmons: CEO Allora
Our conversation with Allora CEO Nick Emmons on multi-model intelligence and the future of decentralized AI.
It is your Daily Crypto News.
It is Thursday, December 4th, 2025.
My name is Matt.
Yesterday you had Comrade
in full action. He put on his little fluffy hat with the star, grabbed his hammer and sickle, and went to work. We will get into that.Today we also have a full live conversation with Nick Emmons, CEO of Allora, and you are going to hear exactly what a self improving decentralized AI network actually is.
But first, we have listener questions, comments, and a couple updates about the upcoming rebrand.
THE REBRAND IS COMING
Kyle said yesterday that the DCN rebrand is happening at the beginning of January.
If you are on Substack, the transition will be seamless. If you listen to us on audio, the name and artwork will simply update. Nothing to do. Just stay subscribed.

LISTENER QUESTIONS AND COMMENTS
MALCOLM
Malcolm says he likes the broader tech and politics, but he primarily comes here for the crypto. You will love today. We dive deep into Bitcoin, macro, and the future of AI driven markets.
OBSIDIAN ENOCH
Enoch writes that regulation, liquidity, and security are converging fast.
The UK recognizes crypto as property.
The Fed is ending QT.
MetaMask expands.
Signature Defense grows.
Institutions are loading up quietly.
He is correct. Everything on the macro and regulatory side is lining up for a bullish Bitcoin future. Maybe not for the entire crypto ecosystem. But Bitcoin specifically. Every structural signal points in one direction.
The price not being what you dreamed it would be does not change the fundamentals. If this were any other emerging technology with this level of institutional adoption, you would not say it is over. You would lean in.
Again, not financial advice, but the environment is obvious.
SKYLER
Skyler reminds everyone that you have one month to export your Reddit Vault.
Reddit is discontinuing it. Your collectible avatars live on an Ethereum compatible address you control through a seed phrase. Move them now.
This is another example of a public company doing something user hostile. And I still believe that, long term, you will see some companies eventually choose to go private again rather than deal with public market pressure destroying their product vision.
TON
Tun is fired up about the Michael and Susan Dell donation. Six and a half billion dollars to American kids. And instead of celebrating it, the online left tore the woman apart for her appearance and said the gift was not enough.
It is beyond hypocritical. It is beyond stupid. It is exactly why I launched
.
The moral posturing, the inconsistency, the cruelty disguised as virtue. It is exhausting.

in the show notes if you want the political side of these rants.
That is where the fire lives.
JASON THE PERMABEAR
Jason says not even the Cobb is moving the goalpost.
Cobb said ninety thousand.
Then eighty.
Then back to all time highs.
Jason, he is trading the swings. That is literally his job. You are the resident permabear. We expect this from you.
ENOCH (SECOND QUESTION)
Enoch asks about mandatory invisible watermarks and metadata on AI generated media.
He says governments want traceability baked in.
I do not think that is a bad thing in principle. Something must be done because deepfake realism is already here. But if it ruins the product experience, or it is only detectable by people who understand metadata, then the solution will not work.
We will talk more about this as regulations come into focus.
CRYPTO PRICES
The past couple of days have been green.
Fear and Greed is at 27.
RSI sits at 52.

Ethereum: 3,207 dollars
XRP: 2.14 dollars
BNB: 910 dollars
Solana: 143 dollars
USDC: Number 7
TRON: 0.286 dollars
Total crypto market cap is 3.17 trillion dollars.
Bitcoin accounts for 1.85 trillion.
Ethereum accounts for 387.5 billion.
OUR CONVERSATION WITH NICK EMMONS OF ALLORA
We talked with Nick Emmons, CEO of Allora, a decentralized AI network designed to coordinate many different machine learning models into a single collective intelligence. You will hear the full conversation in the episode audio, but here is the breakdown.
WHAT ALLORA CLAIMS TO BE
A self improving decentralized AI network built from community contributed machine learning models. Instead of being stuck with one monolithic model like ChatGPT or one closed model like Claude, Allora coordinates outputs from many different models in parallel.
The idea is simple.
No one model is best at everything.
So combine them.
Decentralization lets the system constantly re rank and reward the models that perform the best in each domain.
WHY AI AND BLOCKCHAIN EVEN BELONG TOGETHER
Nick says blockchains provide a neutral economic substrate.
AI provides hyper efficient computation.
Together, you get a permissionless market for intelligence.
Not one big god model, but millions of models working together.
He is not an open source maximalist.
Closed source models are allowed.
Open source models are allowed.
Anything that produces useful inference is allowed.
Which means Allora is less of a competitor to ChatGPT and more of an orchestrator that routes requests to whatever models perform the best.
WHO IS THIS ACTUALLY BUILT FOR
Humans and AIs.
Seriously.
Nick believes AIs will become market participants on their own, transacting, coordinating, and optimizing in real time. Allora is the infrastructure for that world.
THE DEAD INTERNET THEORY
Nick says most of the internet is already bots.
Comment sections, posts, replies, all of it.
We are getting fooled all the time and do not know it.
So I asked him who he is really building Allora for if humans are already swimming in AI generated content.
He said the quiet part out loud.
AI itself will use the network.
And that is not necessarily a bad thing if coordinated the right way.
ARE WE BUILDING SKYNET
Nick does not lose sleep over AI takeover narratives.
He loses sleep over hyper centralized AI.
If a handful of corporations control the cognitive layer of society, that is the real dystopia.
A decentralized coordination layer gives society a fighting chance.
And yes, he admitted there is such a thing as getting got productively.
MY TAKE
We are clearly moving toward a world where AI agents talk to each other more than they talk to us.
And we only interact with the outputs.
Allora is early stage, but the concept matters.
Not because Allora itself will run the world, but because the world is absolutely moving toward a multi model environment. No one model wins everything. We already feel that when we switch between ChatGPT, Grok, Claude, and Gemini depending on the task.
The company that orchestrates all of that is going to be powerful.
And if Nick is right that the internet is already half synthetic, then building a coordination layer for synthetic agents is not science fiction. It is the logical next step.
The question is whether that future stays decentralized or whether it gets captured by the same five companies that run everything else.
That wraps up the comments, the rant, the market recap, and our full conversation with Nick Emmons of Allora.
We will see you tomorrow.
Happy HODLing, Everyone.
