Good morning, my peoples.
This is your Daily Crypto News, except today it isn’t.
If you already read the Substack earlier, you know what this is about. If not, I want to walk you through it clearly and directly, because this show deserves that.
After nearly five years of doing a daily crypto news podcast, I’m discontinuing the Monday-through-Friday Daily Crypto News podcast format.
That doesn’t mean the brand is gone. It doesn’t mean the Substack is gone. And it doesn’t mean I’m disappearing.
It means the daily podcast grind is ending.

WHY THIS IS HAPPENING
For about five years straight, my mornings have looked the same.
Wake up.
Coffee.
Research.
Compile news.
Write summaries.
Record.
Edit.
Publish the podcast.
Publish the newsletter.
Every weekday.
At Decrypt, I did this for about three years. When they shut down the Decrypt Daily, I started this show. First as Today in Web3, then as Daily Crypto News. That’s another two and a half years on top of it.
All in, it’s been roughly five years of the same first two to three hours of every single morning.
And that time matters.
Those morning hours are when my brain works best. That’s when I have energy, ideas, focus, and momentum. And locking those hours into the same workflow, every day, has started to limit what else I can build.
If I take two to three hours every morning and put them toward something new—another podcast, political writing, business ideas—I already have a four-to-six-hour productive day done before I even leave the house.
That’s the tradeoff I need to make right now.
WHAT IS NOT GOING AWAY
This is important, so I’ll be very clear.
The Daily Crypto News Substack is staying.
You will still get:
The Inspirator each night
Written articles and op-eds
Commentary from me
Writing from Kyle and others
Guest contributors
The brand stays alive.
I’m not nuking this. I’m reshaping it.
WHAT THE PODCAST BECOMES
The Daily Crypto News podcast will move to either:
A weekly episode (likely Fridays), or
A biweekly episode
Those episodes will be longer, more reflective, and focused on the most important stories—not just daily churn.
It won’t be daily anymore, but it will still be Daily Crypto News in spirit.
And if the market goes insane again—real bull market, real chaos, real demand—I’m not ruling out temporarily bringing back daily episodes. If Bitcoin rips to something like $135K and everyone’s confused and panicking, I’ll show up.
This is a pivot, not a goodbye.
THE NFT + PRINT (WHY THIS EXISTS)
About two years ago, we started making custom thumbnails for every single episode.
My friend & designer Athena—who I’ve worked with in some capacity for over a decade—took all of those thumbnails and turned them into a single square grid. Think “Everydays,” but for this podcast.
That grid is now:
An NFT
And a physical artifact of this entire run
When you mint it for $150, you get:
The NFT
A 30” x 30” signed physical print
All episode names and dates printed on the back
Shipping included, including international
I’m printing one for myself. I wanted to offer a few to the people who’ve been part of this for years.
There are three at $150. One is already sold. Two remain.
After that, four will mint at $250.
If people stop buying them, I stop selling them.
This isn’t a cash grab. It’s a way to let something we built together live on, physically and digitally.
FINAL THOUGHT
This show mattered to me. A lot.
Five years of consistency. Five years of boring markets, wild markets, scams, narratives, politics, regulation, TradFi nonsense, and real innovation. And thousands of mornings where you chose to listen.
That doesn’t disappear because the format changes.
So don’t unsubscribe. Don’t delete the feed. Let it sit there.
We’re not done. We’re just changing how this looks.
And as always—
Happy HODLing, everyone.
p.s. Today is my Birthday
