SpaceX Moves Bitcoin as Markets Turn Defensive

Good morning, everybody.
It is December 11th, 2025. It is snowing here in Cleveland, Ohio, and I hate it. I hate the snow, I hate the cold, and I get seasonal depression. I stay inside and watch movies the whole winter.

I really do need a house in Florida, but Bitcoin is at ninety thousand dollars, so we are not doing that anymore. Bitcoin is going to have to be double the house price before I make that move.

SPACEX MOVES BITCOIN AHEAD OF WHAT COULD BE THE LARGEST IPO IN HISTORY

This is one of the biggest news stories of the year. SpaceX quietly moved more of its Bitcoin on Wednesday as the company prepares for a potential blockbuster IPO.

If you wanted exposure to SpaceX before, you had to be an accredited investor or know somebody who could get you shares. An IPO changes that. And if SpaceX performs as expected, it is going to be a monster.

Elon is not going to take SpaceX public and let it collapse. It may wobble early, but they will find revenue like they always do. Tesla was two trillion dollars before people even processed what was happening. Nvidia doubled again. These valuations never make sense until they do.

I am going to ape into SpaceX. Not all at once. I will dollar cost average into it with maybe five hundred dollars at a time. IPOs usually spike then dump as early holders unload their gains. So slow and steady might be the move.

Those Bitcoin transfers likely reflect balance sheet restructuring ahead of IPO disclosures. Past filings show SpaceX accumulated Bitcoin in earlier cycles and routinely reshuffles wallets before major financial events.

A STARTUP IS ATTEMPTING TO TAKE THE TWITTER NAME FROM ELON MUSK

A small Virginia startup called Operation Bluebird has filed to reclaim the Twitter trademark, arguing Musk abandoned it by killing the brand and migrating everything to X.com.

Trademark law says non use for three years is evidence of abandonment. Musk certainly nuked the brand. But there is a problem for Bluebird.

There is still strong public association.
People still say Twitter. They still say tweet. I still type twitter.com even though it forwards to X.com.

If I were a judge, I would likely say there is too much public association to treat it as abandoned outright. A judge could give Musk a window to use it or lose it, but wiping it out entirely seems unlikely.

And even if they win the registration, X can still sue under residual goodwill. That is a real thing.

Also, launching Twitter.new will not matter. Nobody will use it. You cannot resurrect a dead brand just because you got a legal technicality.

XIAOMI WILL PRELOAD SEI CRYPTO WALLETS ON NEW PHONES

Xiaomi is partnering with Sei to preload its crypto wallet and dApp discovery app on upcoming Xiaomi phones outside China and the U.S.

The wallet uses Google and Xiaomi IDs for one click onboarding. Early rollout targets Europe, Latin America, Southeast Asia, and Africa. Stablecoin payments for Xiaomi products are coming as early as Q2 2026.

This is not the first time a phone manufacturer tried this. And honestly, most attempts fizzled. Different time, different environment, but I am doubtful this drives massive usage. We will see.

While we are on Xiaomi, MKBHD dropped his 2025 Smartphone Awards. The wild part is how many winners were Chinese phones. Five years ago that would have been unthinkable.

Apple and Samsung won a couple categories. But the innovation, the battery tech, the design, the excitement that Apple used to generate during the iPhone 4 to 5 era, that magic is now in China. Watch the Xiaomi EV car review. It is the product Apple should have built.

PAXFUL TO PLEAD GUILTY AND PAY 7.5 MILLION DOLLARS IN FINES

Paxful will plead guilty to federal criminal charges and pay seven point five million dollars in penalties after the DOJ and FinCEN said the exchange knowingly enabled money laundering and criminal activity.

Between 2017 and 2019 Paxful processed about three billion dollars in trades while promoting the lack of AML controls. Prosecutors say it serviced fraudsters, extortionists, money launderers, and prostitution networks, including at least seventeen million dollars tied to Backpage.

The company admitted to violating the Travel Act, operating an unlicensed money transmitting business, and failing Bank Secrecy Act requirements. Sentencing is in February 2026.

NORWAY SAYS CBDCS ARE NOT NECESSARY

Norway’s central bank says a CBDC is unnecessary for now. Their existing rails are already secure, fast, and cheap.

After years of research, blockchain settlement tests, and cross border trials, they concluded that neither retail nor wholesale CBDCs offer enough benefit today.

They are open to it later, especially if the digital euro moves forward in 2029. But for now, Norway is waiting.

GRAYSCALE’S BITTENSOR TRUST GOES PUBLIC AHEAD OF HALVING

Grayscale’s BitTensor Trust, ticker GTAO, is now trading on OTCQX just days before BitTensor undergoes its first halving.

Emissions drop on December 14. Supply caps at twenty one million. The trust gives investors regulated access to BitTensor, which rewards contributors who provide compute to the decentralized AI network.

Institutions are exploring it as BitTensor positions itself as an internet of AI. GTAO will file regular SEC reports but remains limited to accredited investors.
