i don’t understand why we need https://babylonlabs.io/ or satlayer when they don’t validate back onto BTC, and run on their own seperate chains… that diagram with tower and the other components of salt layer, just seemed like it created alot of unneeded tokens and interest on fake assets, and so much complexity…
Bitcoin has always just made sense to me, after I finally read the whitepaper in gradschool. Wish I’d had the experience to understand it earlier, but ah well
Another alternative to BRC-20 2.0c that makes more sense to me is
what the ADA/lace people have done as well, lace wallet enables ADA transactions and btc transactions via BITVM, that are validated on bitcoin via a native VM protocol
could be I’ll be proved wrong on this take, but I believe that protocols and concepts that are simple and powerful and open tend to have lasting stay power vs closed and/or complicated. just look at development of internet through 80s 90s and 2000s… simple and open destroyed closed and complicated (unless you talk about corporate supported projects, but microsoft and intel can tell you all about that)
