We’re back with the pengy penultimate interview from Denver back in March. We hope you have enjoyed this series exploring an array of DePIN projects pushing the boundaries of technology permeating our society. Exabits is here is no difference. They’re backed by a top-tier team, including Hoansoo Lee, Co-Founder. Lee comes with a background that includes academic history at Harvard Business and Cal Berkeley, plus international experience business experience that lead him into the Obama Admnistration.
In this chat, Lee explains to Kyle about how Exabits is in the “business of finding a cost adjusted, maximized, high performance” in order to do “real and serious” AI training and inference. This is the unsexy work behind AI. Someone’s gotta do it and Exabits seems to take a legit approach.
Let’s dive in!
Who is Hoansoo Lee:
Dr. Hoansoo Lee is co-founder of Exabits and founder and managing director of HSL Capital Management. He holds a PhD in business economics from Harvard Business School and a BA in economics and mathematics from the University of California at Berkeley. Previously, he was the head of quantitative equities and portfolio manager at China Merchants Bank in Hong Kong, managing director at Tsinghua Holdings in Beijing, and assistant professor of finance at Tsinghua University School of Economics and Management. Dr. Lee was a staff economist in the Council of Economic Advisers during President Obama’s first term in office.
